Verio - Mercantec - Paymentech

I have an account with Verio/Mercantech and a merchant account with
Paymentech (www.paymentech.com) using their Orbital Payment Gateway. I
wanted to move to Verio/Shopsite, but Paymentech says that ShopSite is not
certified with Paymentech.

Can anyone help out on this?

If you're using the Orbital Payment Gateway, aren't you processing orders
manually? If you are, then it obviously wouldn't matter whether or not
Paymentech and ShopSite are compatible.

In any case, I thought that Paymentech and ShopSite are compatible...I think
you got some bad information from Paymentech.

No, I am processing authorizations and transactions realtime from my website
automatically. I called Paymentech again and they said ShopSite is not
certified with the Orbital Gateway (Mercantec is) and that I would not be
able to switch the account over to ShopSite because of this.

I believe Payamentech supplies merchant accounts that work with 3rd-party
gateways as well as with their own (Orbital Gateway). So you could keep
your Paymentech mechant account and use it with another supported ShopSite
gateway, see:

However, the fees for unbudling their gateway from their merchant account
may be higher.
