Starting and Ending a Discount by Date

Am I correct to think that there is no way to currently set a "start" and/or "end" date for a discount using the Merchandising -- > Discount function?

The Discount feature dates are controlled by whether discounts are setup or not. So you would set it up when you want it to be available and remove/delete when you are no longer offering the discount.

There are more options in ShopSite Pro that do have expiration dates, for example coupons and rewards allow for a limited time discount. The start date is based on when it's created for the rewards and for coupons when the code or link are made available to customers, both have expiration dates.

But unfortunately, if a discount was to begin at a certain date, there would be no way to start the discount other than to be up at midnight and enter the relevant discount at that time?

The type of promotion we are running doesn't work well with a coupon, so that would not be an option. (we usually do use coupons, but in this instance, I don't think it would work.)
