taxjar support

Hello,

FYI - warning - I just signed up for taxjar and it appears support is email only?! Can't find any online documentation. Shopsite help only shows SS side set up which only matters are set up is complete in taxjar. I've called taxjar and let my number. No call back. Call the "support" number and told to email. Might be great when set up but first impression is what a terribly run company! Anyone here have any advice/info how to set up I'd appreciate it. Figure I'd probably get answers here faster than from taxjar. Might just have to switch to AVA and pay more if I can actually talk to a support person.

Tax Codes
Using TaxJar, determine the tax codes you wish to assign to the products in your online store. Once configured in TaxJar select the "Update Tax Codes" button and ShopSite will retrieve the codes and display them here. These codes can then be assigned to your products using the Add Product/Edit Product interface.

I can't find where the "tax codes" are set in taxjar? "

Did you click the "Update Tax Codes" button? It should import some default special product categories from TaxJar. Sorry, I don't know where in your TaxJar account you would go to configure additional categories if your products are specially-taxed products that don't fit into those pre-defined categories. If you just sell normal products that aren't generally treated special for tax purposes, then the default tax code 00000 (Taxable) is probably all you need to use.

Maybe its just me however this sounded like I need to set up the product codes in TaxJar first and then assign to in SS and there was nowhere in TaxJar to do this so I was confused despite RTM.

I'm not sure how to word it exactly but I think it would help to say "After you set up your TaxJar account and have your API click the "Update Tax Codes" to get a list of categories you can apply to products.

Again thank you - was REALLY easy if you know the correct steps.
