Hello,
It appears the only way to change the directory for where shopsite looks for store pages and product pages is to use the install file.
I have been using a virtual directory in IIS and I would like to stop using it. For example:
www. examample.com/catalog/product1.html (where catalog is a virtual directory)
I want to just use the directory:
www.example.com/product1.html
Would shopsite install program just make the change for me to remove www.example.com/catalog, and it will update the auth file. Or would this not be a wise step to take?
I am running Shopsite Pro v12 sp2 r4 on a windows server with iis 8.5.
Thank you
Using install media to change directory of store pages

Re: Using install media to change directory of store pages
No, the installer would not make this change to an existing store. I'm not sure where your /catalog virtual directory is pointed to, but if www.example.com and www.example.com/catalog go to the same directory, then you would just need to get a new ShopSite license file without the /catalog (you can't jut edit this file, so you'd have to get a new one from your ShopSite reseller or ShopSite sales) and replace the .auth file in your store's data directory with this new one, then regenerate your store pages.

Thank you for the fast reply.
Yes the virtual directory is the same as the actual directory.
I will look into obtaining a new license.
