Weight on product option

Hi,
Just wondering if it's possible to put weight on the product option.

I provide my customer with an option to add additional product at
discounted price using the option features on the product page. I need the
weight to be increased also as customer choose the optional option provided
to them.

Hi David,

we have the same scenario. I have circumnavigated this by giving the initial
product the full weight of the heaviest configuration, so that we do not
loose on the shipping side. I know it is not fair against the customer who
whants only a bare system w/o add-ons, as he pays the higher shipping
charges.

I would love to see a possibility to put also weight with the options:

<select your option>;n
extra 5 L tank (+157.00 EUR);+157.00;+6.8

where 6.8 would be the weight according to the units used in the shop
(pounds or kg)

-->>> 6.4 (??!!!)
