I'm trying to implement a Free Shipping promotion but have been stymied so far.
I have created two coupons: one for Domestic orders with a minimum amount of $99 and the second for International orders with a minimum amount of $350.
I have Commerce > Shipping > Enable Free Shipping Coupon Usage checked.
The Country I was testing was the United Kingdom, I have it checked in Commerce > States & Countries.
When tested, the Domestic coupon was applied with no problem. The International coupon, on the other hand did not. The message in the cart for the coupon read "Coupon Available". This drove me nuts until I stumbled upon the reason for this problem. The "Shipping Service To Use" setting is the culprit.
When I changed it to FedEx International Priority the International coupon worked but the Domestic coupon didn't. It now comes up as Coupon Available.
What the heck is the purpose of this setting? The Help says "Select which of your configured shipping methods to use for free shipping coupons." I understand the logic behind this for order processing, but it doesn't allow for any flexibility. The Drop Down list with a single selection is myopic. Either add a setting for "None" and let the processor decide the shipping method or at least have two choices. One for Domestic and one for International.
OK Bottom line. Is there any solution to this? Am I missing something?
BTW If you want to test it, the two coupons are "SHUS" for domestic and "SHIN" for international. The Service to Use is currently set to FedEx Ground. www.ahoycaptain.com $99 min cart value for SHUS and $350 for SHIN
