Responsive design - multiple product pages

In using the familiar responsive template, I have a page that contains too many products, so I limited the products per page to 30 under the layout form under pagination and had shopsite generate more pages.

In our case, Shopsite generated 20 pages. My question is that when I display any of these pages on my smart phone (or resize my desktop screen to the width of a cell phone), the line of page numbers does not respond to the smaller screen width.

Does this mean to be truly responsive, we should not use this feature and make multiple pages manually?

Ah Ha! I found the answer to my own question.

There are a number of places that provide control over product pagination. The one that may mean the most to help qualify a page to be resized good for a smart phone screen size is in the Utilities->Publish options. I chose to show only five page links for the each pagination page. This should work fine. I also like the control for the maximum number of pagination pages (which can keep the last page from getting too many products on it) and the product default page under preferences, the maximum number of products per page.

If I missed something, let me know. I just wanted to share what I found.
