I received this message from USPS, is there anything we need to do? I am running 11 sp2 r5.4

Hello,
Thank you for using USPS Web Tools.
We would like to remind customers that on May 31, 2015 at 12:01 AM, CST USPS Web Tools will be implementing modifications and additional features to the U.S. Postal Service APIs. The following changes may especially impact shipping systems:
Origin ZIP Code required for Priority Mail International to Canada
Modified special services
Modified service IDs
Modified available mail classes for Merchandise Return Services
Updated release notes (version 1.1) are now available on the Web Tools home page at USPS.com/webtools under the Web Tools Announcements section. Included in the release notes are the URLs of the staging environments, which are now available to developers for testing.

Our client who is using USPS started running into problems with Canadian shipping this week after years without any issues, and I'm assuming it's related to this USPS update. Since earlier this week or late last week, trying to Recalculate costs when purchasing an item with the country set to Canada and the Zip Code entered with a valid Canadian code gives the following error, which doesn't let the customer proceed: "Shipping costs cannot be computed for some items in your cart. Please contact the merchant." Other international orders work fine.

Is there anything we can do from our side to fix this issue, or does it need to be fixed within ShopSite? I'm thinking it's related to the "Origin Zip Code" requirement mentioned in the email in the OP, but I see their zip code in their USPS Subscriber Information, and the help documentation describes that value as "The Zip Code your Web Tools account uses to calculate the origin of packages."

ShopSite 12sp1r4 with some additional patches has been released to fix the USPS changes. You should contact your host to have your store upgraded to this build if you are using USPS and shipping internationally, especially to Canada.
