One-Line Advertisement text box

we just upgraded to Shopsite version 12 SP1 and I see a new text box when adding products called One-Line Advertisement. Does anyone know what this is used for and how to use it?

It will be used in Google Product feeds. It is part of the Open Graph protocol.

The open graph fields are also used when by social media buttons. For example, if you have the facebook "share" buttons, those buttons will use open graph data as the default data if it is available/configured. So you can add something like "This name-of-product is great for feeling cozy on cold wet days. You can buy it at domain-name.com". Then when someone clicks on the "share" button, the default text for their sharing post will be "This name-of-product is great for feeling cozy on cold wet days. You can buy it at domain-name.com". Customers can change this text, but many won't or they will just add to it.
