Switching from StoneEdge to Quickbooks

Postby xylemdesign » Tue Jan 06, 2015 11:05 am

Greetings,

Our company is going to be transferring from StoneEdge to Quickbooks in the near future and we are looking at ways to test out QuickBooks imports from Shopsite while still importing to StoneEdge, i'm unclear if this will mess with anything. Has anyone done this? If so I would love to hear from you.

Thanks,

What method will you use to get the ShopSite order data into QuickBooks? From the Orders > Download screen you can use the QuickBooks® import file format download option that creates a QuickBooks .iif file which can be imported into Quickbooks. This method is simple and doesn't give you a lot of options.
The better way would be to use the ShopSite Order Transfer module that works with QuickBooks xml interface and allows more options. You can find information about Order Transfer at http://www.shopsite.com/qborder_transfer.html

Hey Jim,

We are planning to use the ShopSite Order Transfer module. Do you know if using that module would interfere with our import through StoneEdge?

I don't know whether it would interfere for sure but I really doubt that it would. Both methods would mark the order as viewed, so if you are saving credit cards with the order the Card Verification Value (CVV2) value would be removed and marked it as **purged** and would not be available for further viewing. So if you need to see the CVV2 value for processing orders you should download the orders in your live processing method first. Note that Order Transfer can specify which orders to download so you could download older orders that you have already processed to see how it works without having to mess with the new orders.
