Wordpress integration problem

Postby silken » Thu Dec 11, 2014 10:01 pm

I have successfully used the shopsite integration with wordpress but, for some reason, it has stopped working. I have updated to the newest version and am using Weaver theme. I see the SS icon but when I click it, it doesn't even bring up a new window. I copied from another site of mine a product code that works on that site, and it does not even show up on the site I copied it to. I have deactivated and reactived the plugin, and deactivated all other plugins to test it in a clean environment, but nothing seems to work. As I said, I have used it with this site before. I am also successfully using it on another wordpress site which also uses Weaver. I am at a complete loss. Should I just delete the plugin entirely and start again? I have also double- and triple-checked my settings, which I took from the social media section of shopsite for wordpress.

Thanks,
Debbie

What OTHER plugins do you have enabled in this Wordpress? It's possible that something else is conflicting with it, so try disabling your other plugins to see if you can get the ShopSite plugin to work. If it does, re-enable your other plugins one at a time and try the SS button in the post editor after each one until you find the one that causes it to fail.

Hi Loren,
I actually turned off ALL of my plug-ins, as mentioned, but it did not help. It's very odd!

Hmm, I wonder if your browser has a pop-up blocker that prevents pop-ups unless they are on specific sites that you have previously allowed? Try using a different browser, or even a different computer altogether and see if it works from those.

you know what, I think that did it! I had a pop up exception on the root site, but not on the wordpress extension, and maybe that made the difference. The funny thing is, that I had copied a shortcode from another of my sites and, even pasting it in, was unable to get it to work. But I just tried it now and it's fine. Who knows!

Thanks, as always,
Debbie
