Pass Login UName and PWord from our website

Hello all,
I am currently using shopsite login code in the header of each page. see -> http://qr8.us/image4.JPG
But that just takes them to the shopsite login page

Our new website has several login features that allow a user to enter a username and password. see -> http://qr8.us/image5.JPG
I would like to use that method for users to log into their shopsite account.

Q. Does anyone know how to pass variables via a url or other method to log in to a user's shopsite account without actually going to the account log in page?

There is much more involved in the customer login feature than just the username and password, for example there has to be a shopping cart associated with the login or one will be created for the shopper, cookies will be checked to see if the shopper is already logged in, etc.

So there is not a way to just submit the username and password to a url and have it work.
