I know you can offer free shipping for an amount purchased, but is there a way to offer free shipping for a quantity purchased? For example, our company does free shipping when a customer orders 4 or more bottles of the same product (the price has nothing to do with it.) How would I add this to my shopsite?

There isn't a built in way to offer free shipping based on the quantity purchased.

What you could do is create a separate product that is for the specific number of products where free shipping applies (in this case 4) and check the product's "No Shipping Charges" field so shipping won't be added when it is placed in the cart. So if the shopper adds the 4 product group item to the cart there would be no shipping charged but if they add 4 of the individual products there would be shipping charged.

Another thing that might work is to use the Quantity Pricing option and just reduce the price of the product for the quantity of 4 to a level that it offsets whatever the shipping charge would be. For example if the product costs $20.00 and the shipping for 4 of them is $10.00 in the quantity pricing table the 1 price would be 20.00 and the 4 price would be 17.50 (20 - 2.50 since 1/4 of 10 is 2.50). There may be a disadvantage to this in that if the shopper orders 5 they would get each of the 5 for 17.50 price. This may cause the shipping to be different than for the 4 items together.

Free shipping on a quantity purchased would be a VERY nice thing to have. My problem with Jim's fine suggested workarounds:

In the case of creating a separate product with 4 items in it: we have 25 different videos to choose from. Any four of them ordered at once makes for free shipping. That's a rather large number of different combinations, making the separate product unworkable.

As for discounting the four items to roughly equal the free shipping, my problem is what if they order 5 or 6 items. That discount would extend to those items, effectively offering a discount beyond just free shipping.

Any way to request that as a feature in the next version of ShopSite?

Add your suggestion to the Enhancement Request forum. Spell out what you would like to have and why it would be of benefit for other merchants. We are usually working several versions in advance so unless something is requested by lots of users it can take a while for something to get added.
