Error Code 250050

Saw a new and odd message this morning when printing orders from the weekend:

"Warning, there is a shipping problem in the shopping cart!
Time: Sat Oct 25 14:59:34 2104
License system not available (Error code: 250050)"

I can't see anything obvious. Thought maybe it was a problem with a single order. I checked the one that posted at almost exactly that time and it looked fine.

Any help?

What shipping methods do you have enabled? It may be that there was a temporary problem with the shipping carrier and the message is a result of that.

USPS and UPS — both of which appear to be working fine. Would we get that warning if there was just a temporary glitch, even if there was no resulting bad order?

When an item is added to the cart, all configured shipping carriers are contacted to get the possible shipping options and prices. If one of the shipping carriers was not available you could get an error message from that carrier. The shipping options from the othert available services would be displayed to the shopper so they could still complete an order. They might see a message that only shipping options from the one carrier are available but they could still choose other methods that do display.
