Can ShopSite order carry computer virus?

Was alerted by another employee that he got a virus warning when dowloading orders from ShopSite. This was on the Windows side of an Apple Computer - which he insists is used ONLY for that purpose. Never gone to another website from that Windows side of the computer. Is it possible that downloading orders can bring a virus?
