Separate shipping email address?

Is there a way to configure ShopSite to support separate shipping and billing email addresses?

We frequently get orders from large institutions where the person purchasing the item has a different email than the person receiving the item.

You can collect a different email address for the shipping address.
(1) I would suggest going to Commerce Setup > Order System > Checkout, and for the billing address turn off (uncheck) the Title field.
(2) Then for the shipping address turn on (check) the Title field, and in the size and max length fields add 28 (or whatever you have for the email field in the billing address so that they are the same length).
(3) Then you can go to Preferences > Store Text > Checkout, and change "title" to "email"

Thank you Lauren. I was hoping for a solution that is less of a hack.

The problem with your solution is that when you select the "Billing and Shipping are the same" checkbox, the email address does not transfer. That will confuse our customers.
