NCR Counterpoint POS integration

Hi all,

Ok so this is just a small enquiry about making our shopsite store see eye to eye with the POS system within our new retail ( bricks and mortar ) store.

My boss has gone ahead and setup a POS system for our retail store with a company called NCR Counterpoint.

The issue we are having is somehow integrating our current Shopsite store ( 7 years old ) and inventory levels with this new system.

So far, in trying to research this I have come up with nothing, and I'm trying to figure out how ( if possible ) it can be done. Is there some sort of patch or API(?) code that will allow our shopsite pro store to talk back and forth with our in-store POS system by NCR Counterpoint?

Has the Shopsite team created anything to allow this?

I'm hoping i'm making sense

If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate some expert help here, even if it means convincing my boss it's not a viable option, and why..

ShopSite Pro level stores have the capability of having an Inventory API that can communicate with an external application to get inventory quantities. Documentation is in the online help at http://www.shopsite.com/help/12.0/en-US/sc/pro/inventory.api.html with the specification for the API at http://www.shopsite.com/help/12.0/en-US/sc/pro/inventory.api.spec.html

It would be up to your or your programmer to actually develop the code to interface with the POS software and pass the appropriate parameters to your ShopSite store.
