Cart Abandonment follow up E-mails

Hello,
I have noticed that there is a pretty big growing trend in e-commerce where if a customer abandons a cart a follow up e-mail will be sent to them with a preserved state of their cart and possibly some offers. I searched around and found that there are quite a few options our there. They all seemed tailored to other shopping cart systems so I was wondering if anyone implemented one of these systems in their shopping cart?

That feature is being considered for the next release of ShopSite.

We would LOVE to see tools for automated cart recovery emails included in future ShopSite releases.

In the meantime, is anyone using a 3rd-party service that they'd recommend (for or against)?
