Shopsite support UTF8 for Chinese?

I'm looking to setup a Shopsite system with two languages, English and Chinese. However, doing a search here, it appears that the Shopsite backend uses ISO 8859-1. I've just signed up for a demo now, but thought I'd post a question here to see if anyone has setup Shopsite with multiple languages, specifically double-byte/UTF8.

There is a ShopSite store http://miraizon.com/ that has English, Japanese and French languages on their site. I'm not sure exactly how they did it but you might be able to look at the Japanese pages and see if you can tell.
