Paypal transaction amount not in Google Analytics

Hello,
When customers choose to pay with Paypal the transaction, but NOT the amount is being recorded by GA. Is this the expected behavior or is this something can be solved by either a Paypal or GA configuration?

*I've noticed that submitting the cart with Paypal selected hits the thankgyou.cgi conversion page, and then to Paypal's website for authentication and payment. After successful payment the customer is left with the option to manually go back to the home page. Is this problem? Does Paypal need redirecting back to the thankyou.cgi, to show order confirmation and send transaction amount to GA?

This is expected if you use PayPal Standard. If you switch to PayPal Express Checkout, then shoppers will complete the order on your site and see the regular ShopSite thank you page, which can provide the order amounts/products to Google Analytics (if you have the Google Analytics feature enabled in ShopSite).

Thanks Loren. Will look into the express option. Currently using a custom GA script, and have that option turned off in Shopsite.
