Question about coupon

I have the setting which allows for more than one coupon to be applied, turned off. When I enter both coupon codes at checkout, it disqualifies the one with a bigger discount. Is there a way to reverse this - and have the coupon with the larger discount remain? Thanks.

The first coupon added to the cart should be the one applied (if there are products that qualify). There isn't any setting that will force the greater value coupon to apply.
