Buyer was able to purchase out of stock item

Buyer was able to purchase out of stock item

This is a new one for me. A buyer was able to purchase an item that was out of stock. When I looked at my item's backend page, it shows -1 for Quantity on Hand. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Have you specified an "Out of Stock limit" for the product? If no limit is set then the quantity could go negative.
