cannot access shopping cart screen from Add to Cart buttons

Hi! I’m new to this board. I just purchased ShopSite Manager and paid the one-time fee. I obtained and uploaded shopsite-11-sp2r5-linux installation files to the server. I ran the Installation Program without errors. I created a new store with two pages – one page having three products. All looks good up to this point. I cannot access shopping cart screen when I click any of the Add to Cart buttons.

When I click an Add to Cart button, it seems to access http://www.woundedheroesofamerica.org/cgi-bin/sc/order.cgi... and then hangs.

Any clues? I’d appreciate any suggestions.

I was able to add the 01 Donate product to the shopping cart. It did take a few seconds to actually get to the shopping cart from when I clicked the button. This would usually indicate that the server the store is on is slow or possibly that there are network connection issues.

From the shopping cart I clicked the Checkout button and got a message
"The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I know that I have cookies enabled so that is not what is causing the problem. My guess is that you have some type of redirect enabled through a .htaccess file that is not configured correctly. If you didn't configure a redirect it may be something that your hosting company put in place.

I just tried going to the page and adding another item to the cart and I can't do that now, so something has changed again in the last 10 minutes or so. Are you still able to get into the backoffice of your store?

I tried going to the store in Google chrome (I used firefox the first time) and was able to add an item to the cart. When I clicked the checkout button I got another error
The webpage at http://www.woundedheroesofamerica.org/error404.shtml has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

So this is definitely some type of redirect that is configured on your server and not specifically a ShopSite related issue.
