Integration withPayPal Standard

Hi, I'm using ShopSite Starter11 sp2 r4 hosted at iPage. I have PayPal Standard business. The only thing I have to fill in on the configuration screen is the
Merchant’s PayPal billing e-mail.

So when I do a test purchase I get a shopping cart, fill it out, and I'm taken to a paypal login screen where my Merchant email for Paypal is pre filled in and password is blank. This doesn't seem right at all. What is I entered a credit card and was not doing against a PayPal balance.

At this point I'm a fake user....why would my merchant email 1)show up and 2) why an I being prompted for a PW? I thought this is supposed to for people without a paypal account. It also said I could process credit cards.

1) Your merchant email address shows up likely because you have logged into PayPal from this particular computer before and PayPal put a cookie in your browser to remember the email address you last logged in with.

2) PayPal WANTS people to use/create a PayPal account. So they don't make it as obvious how to pay without a PayPal account. Below the login section should be a link that says 'Don't have a PayPal account?' that shoppers that don't have a PayPal account can click and pay with their credit card. Note that even when going that route, PayPal will likely still invite/encourage them to create a PayPal account after they finish paying.

3) Note that in ShopSite 11 sp1 and newer if you do not have any of the credit card payment methods (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc) enabled in ShopSite then you can also use PayPal Express Checkout to take payments from shoppers that don't have PayPal accounts. See:

The PayPal screen will still look similar, with the Login box as the primary option and the 'Don't have a PayPal account?' link below, but PayPal Express Checkout is a newer/better integration method to use so I would recommend using it instead of PayPal Standard if possible.
