Satisfied with ShopSite?

Postby Mike » Wed Mar 12, 2003 6:54 pm

Hi Folks,
I am preparing to open a new e-tail store and just wondered if you are
overall satisfied with ShopSite as your e-comm package?

What's your main gripe?

What did the cart cost?

Any other carts out the that you would recommend?

Please reply to mikewteam@yahoo.com so I don't have to check the board all
the time. Thanks!

Thanks for your help!!
Mike

Hi Mike,

how about doing some work yourself? Look at
http://www.shopsite.com/help/index.html
and see if shopsite offers the features you need.

The support is outstanding and the product itself very good, if it suits
your needs.

Niko

We (www.audiobooksonline.com) have found that the combination of ShopSite SC
Pro, the ShopSite team (particularly the current team), Lexiconn.com (our
hosts & ShopSite tech support) and Order Manager (from StoneEdge
Technologies) provides us with a great system of Web store management,
online ordering and order processing. ShopSite SC Pro provides more features
than we currently use. The ShopSite team continues to be receptive and
responsive to user feedback with resulting enhancements. Lexiconn provides
outstanding server and ShopSite support. Barney Stone's Order Manager allows
us to process orders efficiently and works seamlessly with downloaded
ShopSite orders. Barney is always willing to custom program for to meet any
users specialized needs.

Hi Larry,

Sounds like you guys have the same exact package as we do, and we are also
extremely happy with it. We use ShopSite SC Pro, host at Lexiconn and use
Order Manager from StoneEdge. The combination of these three make running a
web store a whole lot easier. ShopSite is great at listening to their
customers and implementing requested features in a stable manner. I cannot
rave enough about Lexiconn - never down, extremely responsive technical
support...StoneEdge is also a life-saver. It integrates seamlessly with
ShopSite and can be customized to fit your business' needs. Overall, I'd
have to agree it's a great package all around.

Re: Satisfied with ShopSite?

Mike,

We started work on our e-commerce business (and brick-and-mortar
business) in '99 and ShopSite was our first choice. We've tried demo
accounts with dozens of shopping carts and e-commerce systems but never
found something as easy to use that also allows us complete
customization (well, as complete as we need).

I own www.2bigfeet.com, and we use ShopSite Pro, Stone Edge Order
Manager and Product Manager, and some offline html editors and image
editors. I manage the website by myself, and have other projects on my
plate so I can't spend all my time updating the site. ShopSite has been
great because I just created product and page templates and when I want
a new product or page I just put the data in and the page is
automatically generated.

The costs are relative... you can easily spend $100,000 to get up and
running. I've not found a solution as cost-effective and feature-rich as
ShopSite, and don't think there's one out there. We've been very happy
with SS and as long as they keep upgrading and adding features we'll use
them for years to come.
