"Link Products" sort ordering

Shopsite Pro 6.1.1

I find it extremely difficult to use the assign items and arrange items
for products to appear on a page.

I have written a utility that lets me modify the "Link Products" field
outside of Shopsite using a utility.

The problem is that Shopsite doesn't present the items in the order in
which they're ordered in "Link Products". (Sort is none). It appears
that additional state information not saved with the exported file.

Would you please comment on this and any possible solutions.

Using Link Products in an upload file is not going to re-order the products
on the page if the products are already on the page, the field in the
upload is additive-only, will not re-order or delete product links. If you
want to use this method to order your products, you would first need to
remove all product links from pages (in Pro, select all products and use
global PowerEdit on the 'In these pages' field and uncheck all page
checkboxes, and save) then do your pages upload and the Link Products field
should link the products in the order that you are specifying in the upload
file.
