Hello Folks,
Is there a way to specify a directory to put the 'more-information' files in?
I creating a directory and then pointed to it in the product definitions
When I generate the pages, I get the following errors:
Generating Page [76:hvac.heaters.htm]...
3Column-Product.sst [324]: Template Error opening More Information file /www/keithdemo/k/71-916.htm
3Column-Product.sst [324]: Template Error opening More Information file /www/keithdemo/k/71-917.htm
and so on.
I suspect I'm either trying to do something I can't do or I'm doing it wrong.
Thanks in advance,
Fred

Re: user specified more information page directory
ShopSite will not create directories to put files in so you will need to manually create the directory through ftp or shell access and make sure that it has the same ownership and permissions as existing directories. I believe this is a security measure to prevent errant writing of files to places on the server where the user may not have permissions.
Re: user specified more information page directory
Thanks Jim,
Your comment made me recheck the permissions, for I thought it was set correctly. However, after rechecking I saw group did not have write permission for the target directory. After I set that on and loggoff/on to ShopSite, the problem was fixed.
Your responses are very helpful. thanks!
