Slideshow

I am using one of the shopsite templates and I want to include a slideshow on my homepage. I have done alot of research and see you have to use a java script but have no idea how to do that on shopsite, can anyone tell me an easy way to do it without having to use an outside page to host my slideshow.

The starter demo stores at http://ademostore.com/shopper/kims/index.html have a slide show on the main page. If you sign up for a free Starter demo store at http://ademostore.com/cgi-bin/ssdemos/start.cgi?demo=store&storename=kimsdemo and look at the Text 1 field for the main page you can see the code that is used to display the slide show. In addition there is a javascript file that needs to be put in the output directory of the store so that it can be loaded when the page loads. This can be accomplished in Pro and Manager level stores through the Merchandising > Custom Templates area. If you have a Starter level store you do not have the ability to edit templates, or to upload files to the template directory, you may be able to upload the file by ftp and place it in the output directory of your store, where the html page go when you publish. If your host allows access to the Preferences > Hosting Services screen you can find the location of the Output directory located at the bottom of that page.

I added a slide show to my website. Since I had no idea what I was doing, I hired Lauren Hills. She did an excellent job and I highly recommend her. She is listed as a designer under the resource page on Shopsite.
