VERIO customer may switch. Recs for other hosting?

I've been a VERIO customer for over 14 years. Customer service with them is not what it used to be. Calls forwarded to India and lackluster help in the US.

I'm on one of their older severs. They want to charge 150.00 per hour to upgrade me with ShopSite to a better server. They also stated with them if we use the cPanel, shopsite does not work.

Has anyone switched from Verio to a better hosting service? The company is a a shell of what it used to be.

I use Lexiconn and have for many years. They have the BEST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with...in any industry!

Thank you, Ruth! I've been in touch with them today and they have been great at answering my questions. Look forward to starting the process with them this coming week.

Anyone currently with Verio and using ShopSite may want to look into outdated servers they are using. Def. a problem with SEO. Also major spam if you host wordpress. Their "corporate" people also like to feign ignorance because they aren't 'tech' support. It's a shell of what it used to be. Not to be trusted at ALL. And I'v been with them since 1998.

If anyone is reading this and thinking of switching from Verio, DO IT!!! Lexiconn set up everything for me. They answered all of my emails within all of 8 minutes.

The only thing that surprises me is Lexiconn is on the east coast. They have more of a Mid West work ethic. Something you DO NOT see everyday.

I know this reply may not be timely, but I'll post it just in case it help others.

The place I work at was with Verio for a large number of years (over 12years) and I have been working for this company for over six years. Rarely did I have a good experience with Verio. Most always it was somewhere between bad and very bad.

Last year, in the process of trying to get up on ShopSite, after trying to work with Verio unsucessfully, I switched to LexiConn. It was the best decision I ever made. LexiConn may cost more than others, but it only takes one support call for it to pay off. It saved us months to migrate to ShopSite. Their support is absolutely the best. Their technical expertise is solid. Their responsiveness is remarkable and they care. I can not say enough about them.

Don't settle for lousy support and service, it is not worth it.
