coupon module excluded products - minimum cart value

Postby tv816 » Mon May 28, 2012 12:15 pm

Thanks for adding the option to exclude products from coupons. It works for us in many cases, but there's a glitch. The minimum cart value includes ALL products in the shopping cart rather than including only the ELIGIBLE products. For example, we have a coupon to give $100 off a purchase over $1000. A customer ordered an ineligible item that cost $1500 and an eligible item that cost $100. Even though she bought only $100 worth of eligible products, she got the $100 discount because her total cart value was over $1000. Is it possible to make the minimum cart value compare only eligible products?

I agree with this as well.

There is also a similar problem with a discount type that is a flat dollar value discount (instead of a %). If the eligible product is LESS than the discount value, the discount isn't applied. If the customer adds a non-eligible product to the cart which pushes the value of the cart over the discount flat amount (even though minimum cart isn't in effect), the discount is applied.

This seems like a bug. The flat value discount should only be applied to eligible products.
