Deleting Text on Pages

I noticed this after I upgraded to sp2 r4 (Pro version 11): On the pages where I list items for sale, the text "You may be interested in our best sellers" appears under the items. I did not put this there, and I can't find a way to delete this from these pages.

I'm not sure if this is a result of the upgrade? But how do I take this text off? It looks out of place, especially with no items to accompany it.

That sounds like text coming because you have the Cross sell feature turned on. It is configured on Merchandising > Cross Sell. There are options on the Products > Edit Product info screen to display either the Product Cross-sell or Global cross-sell on the More Info page of the product. There is also a place to select the Cross sell products for the product on that screen. So turn Cross Sell off if you aren't using it.

If that doesn't fix the problem let me know what template you are using.

That seems to have done the trick. How do you suppose the cross-sell got re-checked - could it have been a result of the upgrade? I don't recall changing that.

I get a little confused by the difference between global cross-sell and product cross-sell. I have the "Other items you may like" with product suggestions on my More Info pages and cart when they're ready to check out, which I like. But what does the global cross-sell offer that's different from the product cross-sell (the one where you assign products within the product section?

The Product cross sell items will just display when the product they are assigned to is displayed. The Global Cross sell items will display with any product. So in the Shopping cart you can have cross sell items that display when a particular item is added to the cart, those would be product cross sell, and you can have products that are always displayed in the cart no matter what products might be in the cart, these would be the Global cross sell items. The same thing on moreinfo pages, some items can be specific to a product, like ink cartridges for a printer, and other items that you just want to promote to try and get more sales.
