Change Order Date when use Order Download from Orders' tab

I am downloading my orders doing:

Order tab
click on "download orders"
- then in the "download field", I select Order Date, Order Number and Customer Name; however, the order date is the long date form of "Wed Sep 19 16:37:41 2012"; is there a way to change it to a short date form of just "Sep 19, 2012"?

There is no way to alter the date format that is downloaded. You would need to have a script or macro run after the download is complete to convert the field to the desired format.
