Inserting a Link on a Page Using HTML Editor

Postby mhcscwm » Thu Sep 20, 2012 9:39 am

I'm using ShopSite Pro 11 sp1 r2
caseofwater.com

I am trying to insert a link on one of my pages to a page outside of my website using the HTML editor in a text field on one of my pages. I type the words for my link, highlight it, click "insert/edit link" in the toolbar and a gray dialog box comes up with a close box and a cancel button. There is nothing in the middle that will help me define my link - its blank. The close box and the cancel button don't respond either. To get out of it I have to use the go-back button on my browser.

Help? Thanks.

Are you using Internet Explorer to view and edit your ShopSite website? If so, then I have seen this before (when using IE 9). In order to be able to use the HTML Editor Insert/Edit Image option with that browser, I needed to click the Compatibility View icon.

The IE9 browser is likely newer than the HTML editor, and it is possible that using a newer version of the editor (it is 3rd-party) in a future version of ShopSite will resolve this issue.
