Incorrect State

A customer who placed an order this morning had one state on the order form when she is actually from a different state (even according to PayPal). Is this just the buyer's oversight or a possible glitch? All my other orders are coming in just fine. Thanks.

Shopper error. ShopSite has no way of verifying what state a shopper is coming from.

If you are using UPS shippping then you can enable Address Validation which would compare the submitted address to a database to see if the state and zip match the city.

Address validation is not available currently for other shipping options in ShopSite.

I haven't ever heard of a similar problem attributed to ShopSite, so my guess is "buyer's oversight".

If you are using PayPal Website Payments Standard, then the shopper can provide a different address in the ShopSite checkout than they do in PayPal. If you use PayPal Express Checkout, however, the address information in the ShopSite order is provided to ShopSite by PayPal, so it would be the same address both places.
