No, as far as I know, the Order Manager should run fine with Virtual PC.
Of
course, if you have any problems that we cannot solve for you, our 30
day
money back policy would apply, so your risk is minimal (not counting the
cost of getting Microsoft Access, if you don't already have it.)

However, since I just purchased Virtual PC 6.0 this may solve that

I switched from Mac to PC a few years ago and now back again to the

only the Quickbooks 5.0 for the Mac that was just released is a poor
excuse
of an upgrade so I purchased the Virtual PC so I can run my PC version

on my Mac.

Whoa! I'm afraid you have totally misunderstood what we mean by "open
source".

The Stone Edge Order Manager is fully copywrite protected. It is NOT
available for free distribution in any form. It is NOT shareware. It IS
traditional "pay for a copy" software. If you want the program, you DO have
to pay for it. You will also need a full copy of Microsoft Access to run the
program. We've spent over $1/4 million developing the Order Manager, and we
are not about to give it away!

Here's what we mean by "open source": We distribute the Order Manager as a
normal, un-compiled Microsoft Access database. Anyone who knows Access can
view the tables, forms, reports, modules, etc. that make up the program.
That makes it easy to modify reports, create your own custom reports and
queries, etc. Some users even modify the code and forms, although we do not
recommend doing that, and we reserve the right to charge for any support
required after such modifications. If someone finds a bug (it happens
occasionally!) we can often tell them how to get into the code at that point
and walk thru the program with them over the phone to find and fix the
problem, usually in a matter of minutes.

The Order Manager also includes "hooks" at appropriate points where custom
functions can be linked in and hidden buttons that can be turned on and used
to call custom functions. All of that makes it "open source" as compared to
traditional compiled software which often uses proprietary data formats. It
also explains why we require a full copy of Access; the run-time version of
Access would not let us do many of the things that we do.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. As hundreds of Order Manager users have
found, good things are worth paying for - like your own products, I'm sure!
