Display Cart on Pages

I am attempting to display the subtotal costs of the products on my moreinfo and search pages. I placed the code in the appropriate places; however, regardless of the contents of the cart it states "0 items" next to a shopping card. I have tried a number of changes in the code but the contents of the cart remains 0. When you click on the 0 items link, it goes to the cart. So the problem is reading the contents of the cart and displaying the subtotal cost on the page.

Please advise.

Is the domain where your moreinfo pages are the same as the shopping cart? If not, it will not work, as it uses cookies, and the cookie must be on the same domain as the cart.

If it is the same URL, then verify you enabled the mini-cart under:
Commerce Setup -> Order System -> Layout Info -> "Mini Shopping Cart:"

If it's still not working, let us know a URL where we can see the page/mini-cart.
