Autostretch

Postby kbalkcum » Fri Mar 09, 2007 2:39 pm

I am building a page template in Dreamweaver and have an issue with the "Autostretch" feature for column width. When I use it, the whole page fills the screen like it should, but the display for my subproducts is skewed. I have three columns and the middle and right columns are skewed far to the right. Is there a fix for this?

Maybe if you post the html here or give a link to a page with the problem we could see what you are doing.

This is extremely frustrating to say the least. I loss count on the amount of hours I've spent searching, and reading for an answer to a simple problem such as column width. No lie, after an hour I finally found a post which was directly related to my question, but it was archived and locked with no answer

I have 3 items assigned to my homepage. All items have the same exact image size. I have home page links and columns set to 3. I have max items per page set to 3. Why are all columns different widths? I am using the standard theme. I thought by paying for a pro account I'd get phone support. This is actually worse than open source because this is not such a populated forum. I am growing frustrated every day with this.

See my previous post. Without being able to see the page and look at the html source there is no way to know that is causing the problem.
Are the columns set to a specific width or are they set to a 33% width?
What else do you have on the page/ It is entirely possible that some other coding in the header, footer, navigation etc is causing he problem.
Do your products just have add to cart buttons or do they have order options also being displayed?
What browser are you using when you see the problem? Does it look the same in other browsers? It could be a browser issue.

You haven't given any information that would be useful in solving the problem. Unless we can see what is happening it is highly unlikely that we would be able to help you resolve the issue.

I understand your frustration with it not working like you think it should, but we need something firm to base a solution on.
