Q. When doing a manual order, and authorizing the card, do I get to see

The Order Manager has two different order numbers for each order. Orders
imported from ShopSite get both an Order Manager order number and a ShopSite
order number. Orders entered manually into the Order Manager only get the
Order Manager order number. You can print either or both numbers on invoices
and packing slips, and you can easily change their labels to whatever you
like. We recommend calling the ShopSite order number the "Web Order #" and
the Order Manager's order number the "Invoice #" or something like that.
Our Verisign PayFlow Pro interface will has full support for AVS, and will
show you the appropriate codes. We have not added CVV2 support for PayFlow
Pro yet. I will take a look at that in the next couple of weeks. (We do
support CVV2 with Authorize.net.)

I'm not sure how to answer that. First of all, there aren't really any
"API/CGI" features to the Order Manager. The program is strictly a desktop
application, written in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Second,
although we do a lot of custom programming, we do not generally break out
functions of the Order Manager since the custom programming costs are
likely
to approach the cost of the full program (which is only $595) and there is
no reason you can't just use a few features of the Order Manager and
ignore
the others.
(One exception to that is our ShopSite to Mail Order Manager system, which
imports ShopSite orders and exports them in a format that MOM can import.
MOM is a much more expensive order management system from another vendor.)
Lastly, you might want to give me a call to talk about your needs - we
might
be able to provide a way to link up to your existing system so you can
have
the best of both worlds. You might also want to talk to me about using our
ECom Assembler to solve some of the inventory tracking issues you raised

Sniff Sniff, I just wish it was available for MacUsers.
However, since I just purchased Virtual PC 6.0 this may solve that
problem.
I switched from Mac to PC a few years ago and now back again to the Mac,
only the Quickbooks 5.0 for the Mac that was just released is a poor
excuse
of an upgrade so I purchased the Virtual PC so I can run my PC version of
QB
on my Mac.

No, as far as I know, the Order Manager should run fine with Virtual PC. Of
course, if you have any problems that we cannot solve for you, our 30 day
money back policy would apply, so your risk is minimal (not counting the
cost of getting Microsoft Access, if you don't already have it.)

Sniff Sniff, I just wish it was available for MacUsers.
However, since I just purchased Virtual PC 6.0 this may solve that
problem.
I switched from Mac to PC a few years ago and now back again to the Mac,
only the Quickbooks 5.0 for the Mac that was just released is a poor
excuse
of an upgrade so I purchased the Virtual PC so I can run my PC version of
QB
on my Mac.
Barney, any known glitches using it with Virtual PC.

I'll let Jimmy and our other Order Manager users comment on how the
Order
Manager works for them. I just wanted to let you know that I am
available
if
you have any technical questions. I will be glad to answer any questions
here, or you can give us a call at the number below.
Also, in case you have not seen it, we have a new "Quick Tour" of the
Order
Manager on our website. You can find it at:

We currently use Quickbooks (pc) for managing our orders. Shopsite
6.1.1.
I
have not used Stoneedge Manager. When importing into Quickbooks, I
can't
seem to get the credit card information to display. Do you think I'm
doing
something wrong? I think I'd like to try Stoneedge. If anyone has
used
both
of these products and could compare and contrast, I would greatly
appreciate
the wisdom of your experience.
Thanks,
Steve Doherty
