Hi,
My client's shopping cart is automatically updating and displaying a warning when a customer changes their zip code. The client doesn't like this. When I configured a demo store in much the same way, no messages are appearing. Can someone explain why? Based on the info I found when I did a search of the forum and help files, the messages are expect, and cannot be disabled. Is this correct? The client believes the messages are new.
Client's version: ShopSite® Pro 10 r7.2,
Demo version: ShopSite® Pro 11 sp1 r2, StoreID: alsdemo6
Message: Shipping Rates have been recalculated based upon your zip code.
Please review them before continuing with your order.
If customer hasn't selected a payment option yet, then two warnings appear.
Thanks,
Brad

Re: Warning Messages in Shopping Cart
The messages display when an option has changed that the shopper should be aware of, such as changes to shipping options. Since changing the zipcode can affect both the shipping charges and taxes it is important for the shopper to know that a change was made and they should look at the fields again before proceeding.
There have been a few changes made to that area since ShopSite 10 was released 2 years ago but I believe the functionality is basically the same in the latest release although I think there was a change to when the Choose a Payment method message is displayed.
