recent ShopSite Tech Bulletin email (6.1.1 patches)

All,

Below I have pasted the text of a Tech Bulletin email that Tech Bulletin
list members received last week. If you are not currently signed up for
the Tech Bulletin emails (which advises mostly of patches and new
releases) you can find instructions for doing so here:

Dear ShopSite Tech Bulletin Subscriber:

We have released several patches for ShopSite v6.1.1 on Unix servers.
The patches address the following issues:

Solution ID: S5459 Fixes a potential ordering issue if the shopper has
cookies turned off AND the IP address the shopper is coming from
changes during the shopping session.

Solution ID: S5458 Resolves an internal server error from thankyou.cgi
that could occur when using the Cardservice International/Linkpoint
payment gateway if the merchant did not configure ShopSite to use a
pull-down list for the country AND the shopper did not fill in the
country field.

Solution ID: S5460 Fixes an "Invalid Payment Type" error on checkout
that could occur if the store uses Frames AND the checkout is at a
different domain AND the shopper is using Internet Explorer v6.x.

Additional information on the problems fixed by these patches can be
found at http://support.shopsite.com/kbase/ by searching for their
appropriate solution numbers.

HOW TO GET THE PATCHES The patches are available on the
support.shopsite.com ftp server. After logging in cd to the
partners/patch/6.1.1 directory then go to the appropriate directory for
your server's operating system. The same FTP account for retrieving
ShopSite v6.x will work to access the patches. Partners should contact
their account manager (or e-mail info@shopsite.com) if they need the
ftp download information.

Note: Merchants running earlier versions such at 6.0 should first
upgrade to 6.1.1 and then apply the patches.
