Image to product problem

Hello,

We have 3000 images on our store and we now have a problem when allocating
images to products via power edit or standard edit.
It takes over ten mins for the products to be displayed on the screen and
sometimes brings to screen in corrupt - can you suggest what the prodlem
could be?

The length of time is due to how long it takes to get a directory listing of a
directory containing that many items and how long it takes to send all of that
data to your web browser.

If it gets their corrupt, then it is probably an issue with your web browser,
try upgrading. I have seen some browsers, mostly old ones on Mac, not be able
to handle large HTML widgets/objects, like pull-downs or scroll boxes with
tons of data in them.
