Help Understanding Cart/Checkout Pages

I am new to ShopSite.

Google Analytics indicates the following page was visited; however, no ShopSite Order has been created. Do I have a problem?

I see the fromid=thankyou.cgi and I am concerned the customer THINKS they have placed an order!

Any help will be appreciated.

Did the customer pay via PayPal (do you have a PayPal payment that is pending...you will need to log into your PayPal account to see). If the customer paid with an echeck in PayPal, ShopSite will not send you, the merchant, the order notification until the order is finalized and the payment has gone through. Most PayPal options are immediate, however PayPal with echeck can take up to 10 days to clear.

I checked our company PayPal Activity Report and DO NOT see any pending payments. Last activity was Sep 30, 2011

Sorry about my previous post. I misread your issue and thought that where you were hosted would matter. It did not.

Based on the URL portion you showed above, the customer did not actually see the thankyou page. /ss10.0/sc/billing.cgi indicates that the customer saw the checkout page. It has 'fromid=thankyou.cgi' in the parameters, but this is because the shopper tried to checkout, the info was submitted to thankyou.cgi, but either the gateway rejected it or the shopper didn't fill in a required field and thankyou.cgi redirected immediately back to the checkout page (and the checkout page would display whatever the error message was at the top) without displaying any Thank You screen content and without creating a new order.

So the shopper should not have any reason to think that they successfully placed an order.

Bye the way, I really like ShopSite, and run our entire site with ShopSite, not just the Shopping Cart. Although FatCow is a bit behind in releases, I have been able to accomplish everything I wanted/needed by making modifications to various ShopSite templates.
