PayPal Website Payments Pro is not an option

I'm trying to set up the PayPal Pro on ShopSite 11 Pro. When I go to the payment selections screen I can see, among others, PayPal Website Payments Standard and PayPal Express Checkout. However the documentation indicates that I should choose PayPal Website Payments Pro (Express Checkout) which is not available. Have I missed something? If I choose either of the choices that are available I am redirected to the PayPal site which is not what I want. I would like the customer to enter in their information into my site and not be redirected. I've clicked on the Configure button for both options and I have tried both the Signature and Certificate options through PayPal API, neither seemed to have made a difference.

PayPal Website Payments Pro is listed in the Credit Card Processing section closer to the bottom of the screen.

This is done because it functions like a true payment gateway, where the shopper completes the transaction on your web site instead of taking the shopper to another site to finish payments. The other Paypal methods, Google etc. all take the shopper to their site to finish the transaction. Some return back to ShopSite when the transaction is completed but others leave the shopper on their site.

Well that's encouraging. However, I don't see the PayPal Pro option at either the top or the bottom of the selection. Please see the attached screen shot. Clicking on Authorize.Net SIM does not have a choice for PayPal.

Under Payment Services should be a "Credit Card Processing" section, with the option for PayPal WPP
* manual
* Authorize.net
* PayPal Payflow Pro
PayPal Website Payments Pro

If the page does not fully load, contact your hosting provider, as it's possible your payment section is corrupt and needs to be manually fixed.

I called GoDaddy after your last post and they indicated that the service is set up correctly. Unfortunately they also told me that they do not offer support for ShopSite and that I will need to continue to receive support here. By the way on the dashboard it indicates Credit Card Processor is Manual.

Could you tell me if judging by the screen shot below that I am at the correct setup screen? Is there another support option that I can use?

Adam,

Your screenshot didn't make it, but if it's set to manual, look 3 more options down and there should be a radio button for:
* PayPal Website Payments Pro

Choose that radio button, save changes, and then you can click "Configure Processor" to make sure it's set up correctly.

D'oh... I'm not sure why you can't see the screenshot

It's titled Payment Services and there are a series of checkboxes (not radio buttons).
  • PayPal Website Payments Standard
  • PayPal Express Checkout
  • Google Checkout
  • WorldPay
  • NetBanx
  • Authorize.Net SIM
  • Other Payment Methods
    - eCheck
    - Purchase Order
    - C.O.D.
    - Check
There are no further options.

The only place I see manual is on the Dashboard under Active Features:
Payment types accepted: PayPal Express Checkout
Credit card processor: Manual
Card security: High
Tax system: Use ZIP Code to determine sales tax
Shipping carriers: ShopSite calculated: Flat Shipping
Customer registration: Off
Enabled features: Add Coupons by Code, Product Cross-sell

Clicking on Credit card processor or Payment types accepted results in the screen above. I'm not sure how Manual is selected when it never appears as an option.

Adam,

This does sound like a bug in earlier version 11 stores (the payment config page does not fully load) . Since GoDaddy is listed as a ShopSite partner, they should be able to provide support for technical issues such as this. They should be able to interface with ShopSite to get this resolved. It's a relatively easy fix for a ShopSite partner. Hopefully you get the right support person over there to address this.
