Customizing Shopping Cart

I would like to know much customizing is possible on the shopping cart and
checkout screens. I have a completely customized design in my product pages
which makes the shopping cart and order screens stand out a bit too much for
my tastes. Do they have a template similar to the page and product
templates?

Tim,
You can do quite a bit of customization of the overall page layout but there is
no template like the page and product templates.

To do the customization you enter the html for how you want the page to look in
the text fields found on the Commerce Setup > Order system screen. There is a
field that appears at the top of the shopping cart screen and another that
appears at the bottom (likewise for Shipping and Thank you screens) You can
start tables, fonts, etc in the top and close them in the bottom text fields
and thus have quite a bit of latitude in what you can do. You can also use html
in the text fields under Preferences > Store text > Shopping cart, shipping,
etc.
