Verio not currently offering Version11 - USPS problem

We've been experiencing the known issue wherein USPS charges are way too high. I believe that every time a customer adds an additional item to the cart, it's treated as having to go in a separate container. So, the more products being purchased the further exaggerated the shipping rates get.

Anyhow, the only fix I'm aware of is to upgrade to ShopSite V11. Contacted our host, Verio. They are not currently offering version 11.

This is a pretty serious issue, where a person ordering 5 paperback books is forced to pay $30 for USPS Priority Shipping. That cost should be around $6 or $8.

Does anyone know of another fix for this problem? Can anyone recommend a hosting service that's actually offering version 11?

If your store is on a FreeBD server at Verio you should be able to request an upgrade to ShopSite 11. You may need to go through several layers of their support to find someone that know how to get it done. They do have ShopSite 11 but are not doing new installs with it yet but stores should be able to it.

If the support person you get doesn't know about it, ask for the tier 3 support or ask to speak with the person's manager.
