Input Required Box - changing text color

Due to the color design of our site, whenever the input required box comes up on the shopping cart page the text that mentions what is missing comes up as white. As the box background is light grey this makes it very difficult to see.
How can I change just the text of the Input Required boxes to a different color, say black? I don't want to change anything else, just the instructional text in those boxes. I cannot seem to find an id or class information.





We use shopsite pro v11

I should state that this only seems to happen in IE.
In Firefox, chrome etc the text is black.

A url to where we can see the problem and specific steps to duplicate it would be helpful. We could then look at the html source and see if there is something that can be added to a style.

If the problem is only in IE does it happen in IE 7, 8, 9? If you turn on the compatibility mode does it still happen?

Yes the same issue occurs in compatibility mode.
