Surcharge for gift wrapping

I have read the instructions on this page:

and have it set up, partially. We're trying to create a surcharge for gift wrapping and need to add a price per product and at the same time allow the purchaser to select some products with gift wrapping and some without.

Using the instructions on the page above, I'm able to set it up so a $10 surcharge is added, but it applies to ALL items. What if a purchaser wants it applied only to selected items. How do I do that?

I would suggest having the gift wrap option be a pull-down menu on a per-product basis instead of a surcharge for the whole order. That way customers can pick and choose which items they want gift wrapped. The other option would be to have gift wrapping be a product where the customer selects the quantity for how many items they want gift wrapped and then use the customer text entry or ordering instructions to tell you which items need to be wrapped.
