I have a simple question about recurring billing that a client of mine is asking. I think I know the answer but I need to make sure.
If a customer purchases something on a recurring cycle, say once a month, are they sent an invoice/receipt email for each billing cycle?
I assume yes based on what I have read but I haven't found anything that explicitly says that.

Re: Simple question about recurring billing
ShopSite doesn’t send an email statement to the customer each billing cycle.
Receipts and notices are configured on the Authorize.net side. Logging into Authorize.net, go to Settings -> Email Receipts, and these options are available:
Enable Email Confirmation
[ ]Email transaction receipt to customer (if email address is provided)
[ ]Email customer for each successfully authorized ARB transaction
The 2nd option would need to be enabled. I believe the first one would send an Authorize.net receipt for each order which could be confusing to shoppers. But it could be that both are required in order to have a monthly receipt automatically sent out.
