Update Quantity Automatically

When a customers buys from us and wants two of something - it shows up as two separate items on the order form (unless they manually update the quantity in the shopping cart area.) Is there a way to configure our shopping cart to automatically update the quantity if they place the same item in the cart twice?

No. If they enter the item as two separate items it will remain in the cart as to separate line items. There is currently no way to force it to consolidate them into a single line item and increase the quantity on that item. Enhancement requests have been entered for this and it will be looked at for inclusion in a future version of ShopSite.

Has this feature been added? I know that I saw it in the demo store that I set up but now when I am setting up my real store I cannot find it. I remember it being a checkbox but I don't remember where. Thanks.

Shopping cart Product Line Item Consolidation was added in ShopSite 11sp2. I believe your store, if it is the mousehouse1 store, is running 11sp1.
You will need to talk to your host about upgrading to the latest version.
