Show "My Account" Link

I've been looking through the ShopSite backend for a way to add a "My Account" link in the master menu that would take a visitor to their account settings. Is there a way to do this that would be similar to other shopping cart systems? BTW, I'm using a custom template/Order Anywhere setup, if that makes a difference.

Thanks, Rob. That's going to be a big help unto itself... good advice included. What I was wondering, though, is if there's a way to set up a "My Account" link so that after a person is signed in, they can access their account settings anytime during the site visit. For instance, Amazon.com calls it "Your Account", a text link, and it's separate from the Sign In/Register link. If a visitor tries to access the link before signing in, a redirect takes them to the sign-in/register page. Any information available on that, as far as you know?

For the "My Account" link, change "func=2" to "func=3" in the URL and it will take them to the registration section if they are logged in, or send them to the sign-in link if they are not.
